Branding

West Shore Free Church’s brand is familiar, friendly, and straightforward. The church desires to educate people about opportunities to engage with the community and to share stories of the church’s mission. I created a brand guide to define and create standards for the voice and visuals of the organization. I also trained the 60-member staff on the importance of branding and how to implement these standards.

In addition, I led projects to update signage, created welcome materials, and redesigned the weekly digital and printed communication.

Website Revamp

West Shore Free Chruch recognizes that the first time people engage with the organization is online. I led a project to create a user-friendly website for someone new to the brand. The team successfully integrated our database to cut down on duplicate entries, created new visuals, and wrote copy to help assimilate new attendees into the church community. I worked with 20+ ministries to create a site that meets their needs while ultimately prioritizing the user’s experience.

Content Creation

During COVID-19, West Shore Free Church could not meet physically in person for worship services or ministry activities. With this challenge, I spearheaded a campaign to connect digitally and rally our community members to serve one another under the title “Seeking the Good.” I organized daily social media videos to inspire and encourage our community members during this trying time. I did also adapt this information for various mediums like the website and the weekly newsletter.

I was able to increase our Instagram reach by 37% and following by 43%. We also had the audience submit photos and videos of them taking up the challenge to “seek the good.”

Community Events

West Shore Free Church hosts two community baptism celebration events each year which garner about 2,000 attendees each. I led the marketing, logistics, and production oversite of these baptism events. This included managing 50 event participants’ interviews and scheduling the day of the event. I created social media campaigns to promote community engagement, including the production of photos and videos stories of the participants. In addition, after the fall event, there is a picnic and food truck lunch for community members.
